This policy describes exactly what the product does today — not aspirational claims about a future version. If the product changes (for example, if audio processing moves to a server), this page will be updated to match.
When you upload a file on the Demo section, it is decoded and processed using your browser's built-in Web Audio API. The cleaned result is generated on your device. At no point is the file sent to VoxScrub's servers or any third party — there is currently no server involved in audio processing at all.
"Continue with email" creates a real account: your email address and your password are sent to this site's own server. Your password is never stored as plain text — it's run through a one-way hash (bcrypt) before being saved, so even we can't see or recover your actual password, only verify it when you log in again. Your email address is stored in a database on this server until you ask us to delete it.
"Continue with Google" is still a simulated demo button on this build — it does not connect to a real Google account or send any data anywhere.
If you choose "Save to history," the project (your audio and the settings you used) is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB, a standard browser storage technology. This data stays on your device — it is not uploaded anywhere — and is automatically deleted 7 days after creation. Clearing your browser's site data will also remove it immediately.
The Pricing and checkout pages are not yet connected to a live payment processor — no real payment is processed, no card details are transmitted anywhere, and no charge occurs.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), which may receive your IP address as part of that request, per Google's own policies. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of our own.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them (nor, as described above, do we currently collect meaningful personal information from anyone).
As real payment processing and Google sign-in are connected, this policy will be updated to reflect that — with a clearly updated "last updated" date.
